Dr. Margalit Bejarano is a researcher in the Department of Spanish and Latin American Studies and in the Avraham Harman Research Institute of Contemporary Jewry. Between 1993 and 2015 she taught in the Department of Spanish and Latin American Studies history of Cuba, the Caribbean, Spain and the Jewish communities in Latin America. From 2010 she coordinated the MA studies on Latin American Jewry. She was A Fellow of the Liwerant Center (2009-2015) and served as the Academic Director of the Oral History Division and the Division of Latin America, Spain and Portugal at the Harman Institute of Contemporary Jewry. She is a founding member of AMILAT and Chair of the Israel Oral History Association (ILOHA).
