Our department is the only academic center in Israel to offer MA and PhD programs in Spanish and Latin American Studies. Students can choose to specialize in two main fields: History or Literature of the Iberian and Latin American World.
We offer two types of MA degrees – with thesis (research track) or without one. In both cases, students build a personalized program with the help of our academic advisors. In PhD programs, students build their own program and timetable with the help of their doctoral supervisor/s. If a supervisor considers it adequate and productive, it is possible to have an additional supervisor from another department and/or faculty.

These standards conform to the European higher education regulations, that is:
All works should be written with a space of 1.5, with margins of 3 cm. on both sides, and clearly and neatly arranged. Preferably, a single type of character should be used (e.g. Times New Roman) of standard size (e.g. 12), using a smaller size in citations and footnotes or endnotes (e.g. 10). All pages should be numbered (except the cover page).
Since papers written in Hebrew often require less space, we recommend limiting them to the minimum number of pages listed above.
